Step 1: Get a UK Address. New
« on: October 01, 2014, 07:08:01 am »
For those who are not in the UK and are considering using Money claim online you will need a service address.

This is an address in the UK where mail is sent, then forwarded on to you.
Here is a company that you can use:
http://ukmailboxdirect.co.uk/

Note, you should tell them ahead of time that you're expecting mail and would like it tracked with a tracking #. Otherwise they will not provide one.

DO NOT *RELY* ON THE POST COMING IN TIME. Instead, you should be calling in WEEKLY to the court for updates. They are super nice, and don't mind at all providing updates.

Now is a good place to mention: If you don't want to do any of this, you can use a law firm (I used them too) and they'll handle everything from start to finish for you, all for a flat fee that is most likely recoverable:

Hi

I recently gt banned from Alpha tech forums for stating they broke contract and they lost their dummy, started crying and banned me.

Any how,  just abit confused as to your steps on how to claim, do i send a e-mail to them first saying i want a ful refund or do i send a certified letter first? I'm from the UK. chal i send via email the letter you have in step 3?

To be safe, I would suggest certified mail, and email them a copy.

What about http://www.ukpostbox.com? They offer a free PO box for low volume users and scan incoming mail. Is that kind of address sufficient for legal communication?

Yes, it is. As long as they forward it to you.

I have a problem, that I might need help for. I filed my claim. Alpha defended in these terms:

Quote
We have been forwarded this post from our previous address, 66
Dickenson Road. Our trading and registered business address has
changed many months ago, and this has been explicitly emailed to
our customers and put on our website. 66 Dickenson Road is not our trading address nor is it our registered business address and has
not been so for many months, this can be viewed on companies house for proof and our website and newsletter feeds.

In the overview of my claim (image is attached) I cannot see any way to react to this... I don't have any document N180 or anything to react to the claim and couter their defence.

What should I do? according to the 14days rule I am only 2 days from that limit. I really want to react but I cannot see how.

Thank you very much!

Their reply is meant to confuse you. File form n180.. that form is not a reply to their defense, it's just telling the courts about your availability for a hearing.

In other words, they have not filed a defense. After you file form n180, apply for a summary judgement:
